Beware of Leadership Bugs

Leadership bugs are negative attitudes and behavior, which like virus can infect a leader and jeopardize the prospects # of successful Leadership.

Some of the bugs and their manifestations:

>Superiority complex:

•Closure to learning, takes decisions without sufficient inputs from the led
Never admits a fault and never admits mistakes but passes the bulk to others.

>Inferioririty complex:

•Feel threatened by smart subordinates he/she fears would outshine him/her with superior opinions and intimidate them into silence.
• Comfortable with a team made up of far less knowledgeable persons and detests subordinates with independent opinions.
• Prefers top down communication and sniffles feedbacks he/she considers as a challenge to Leadership authority
•Higher preference to staff that are more loyal to Leadership personal interests than those that place higher premium on the overall long run interests of the organization and workers.

>Negative exemption reporting attitude:

•Never forgets to remark on failures and weaknesses of subordinates and seldom remember to acknowledge good performances or any reward for them

Above are the bugs every leader must defeat to be realistically successful
